Earth Day 2015!
Today marks the 45th anniversary of Earth Day! In 1970, Gaylord Nelson instituted what is now the largest civic event in the world. Each year, billions of people around the globe celebrate and participate in festivals. But do the concerts and promotional t-shirts that are associated with earth day in more recent years really help the earth? Here are a few things you can do today, and every day, to help preserve the planet we call home.
- Volunteer in a community garden
- Use eco-friendly products
- Recycle
- Plant wildflowers
- Clean up litter in your neighborhood
- Plant a tree
- Grow your own veggie garden
- Conserve water
- Ride your bike
- Save electricity
