Attending the Parade of Homes is like getting a backstage pass into the new designs, trends, and innovations of home design. You get premium access to different builders’ designs and floorplans. One of the top aspects we’ve seen people enjoy is a first-hand look at cool new features coming to homes and doing this all while socializing with friends. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect on ideas for an upcoming remodel or future build. There is truly nothing better than seeing a concept implemented in real life than just looking at schematics.

Plus, Chefs on Parade is coming back this year and is a huge highlight to enjoy!

How Can I Get a Ticket to the 2024 Parade of Homes?

Tickets for the 2024 Parade will go on sale for $10 each, starting September 2nd. According to the Home Builder’s Association, tickets for the parade will be available at your local area’s Circle Ks. Please note that your ticket will be usable on every day of the event!

However, please keep in mind that it is not recommended to bring children to the parade. If you choose to do so, children three years old and up must have a ticket to access the home property. They are not to be left in cars, outside, or unattended in the home at any time.

Top Tips for Attendees

As one of the long-reigning participants of the Parade of Homes, we’ve garnered a few trade secrets that we want to share with you. You can get the most out of the parade by following these tips.

#1: Plan Your Route

Before driving off to the first home, we recommend taking a look at the various house locations to identify the houses that interest you the most. You can start at any home, but depending on your schedule, you may not have time to visit them all, so we suggest starting with your favorites first! Plus, if you want to visit a long list of homes, we advise planning a route to minimize miles and traffic time!

#2: Go in the Morning

Starting your tour in the morning is the best option to beat heavy traffic in the available homes and find parking. Not only will you get to see the home in the morning light, but you will have greater space to roam and ask questions.

#3: Wear Removable Shoes

Please keep in mind that bare feet and shoes of any sort will not be allowed in any of the homes to preserve cleanliness and quality. Due to this, we highly recommend wearing skip-off shoes and non-slip socks when touring the home.

#4: Pack Essentials

If you plan on making a whole day or weekend out of your Parade of Homes tour, we suggest packing some essentials for your tour. We recommend bottled water to stay hydrated but remember that you must leave it in your car. No food or drinks are allowed inside the home. Next, in a small bag (no backpacks allowed), we advise having a notepad and pen to take notes and a phone or camera to take pictures of your favorite home designs.
