What is a Ground Thaw Machine?
A ground thaw machine is exactly what it sounds like—a specialized piece of equipment designed to warm up frozen soil, allowing construction to continue even in cold temperatures. We are currently renting one from Sunbelt Rentals in Spokane, WA, and it’s already proving to be a game-changer for wintertime homebuilding.
This machine works by circulating heated liquid through a system of hoses that are laid over the frozen ground. The heat gradually transfers into the soil, thawing it to a workable temperature so that we can dig, pour foundations, and move forward with construction—without having to wait for warmer weather.
